About Us

Brad Whinery, a second-generation funeral director, grew up in the family business.

He married his high school sweetheart, Glenda, and after college returned home to Sayre where he began working with his father at Rose Chapel Funeral Service in Sayre and Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He and Glenda bought the funeral homes from his parents in 1988 and over the next 10 years they purchased six more funeral home across the state. In 1999 they began Affordable Cremation Service, which is where they heard first hand an increasing need for more personalized and meaningful burials for cremation services.

That is when Brad and Glenda decided to build Reflection Pointe Gardens. They sold their funeral homes to focus on creating memorial park in Oklahoma City, landscaped with trees, reflection ponds, benches and walking paths.

”It is a dream long in the making,” said Brad. Visitors won’t be able to tell Reflection Pointe Gardens is a burial setting,” said Whinery. “It looks and feels like a park. A place to celebrate and remember a life.
